'Hope'

What a wonderful sound to wake hearing the birds again and seeing the Robins now foraging on the ground. Spring is near and the sweet scent of new growth is starting to fill the air.

After a few months of organizing and getting caught up I'm starting to paint again. As always I look to nature for inspiration and recently have been enjoying the process of mixed media layers. The process encompasses all my loves for lettering, designing, and painting and comes together in pieces like 'Hope'. 'Journey'

Following the inspiration of 'Hope' I followed up with 'Journey'. This piece was a journey as it was constantly changing. The beauty of canvas and paint is when something isn't working you keep painting till it does work and starts to speak to you. Sometimes you have to step back and trust your guides in life and in painting. I will be continuing a series of mixed media on 8 x 8 gallery wrap canvas so check my blog for updates.
