Dear

I am so excited and for several reasons. First of all we entering my favorite time of year when the weather cools a bit and outside colors turn golden. And oh the fresh sent of wood fires, leaves that crunch beneath your feet as we shuffle along and the end of all the fresh produce in our gardens and farmers markets.

Plus I would be remiss if I didn't mention Fall migration starting now. I still have a few Orioles and Hummingbirds stopping by to grab some grape jelly and nectar. I can't wait to get out to Presque Isle State Park for bird watching this September.

I am also excited about my new web site! For years I have had my site hosted on an Apple account. Apple is now changing over to iCloud and will no longer be hosting web sites. This provided an opportunity for me to make improvements on my site. The home page will always feature my latest work of art and a short description, price, where you can find the work and what inspired me to create the art work. You can easily click the next image to scroll through each piece. Do take a look and please book mark the new URL http://tonikellystudio.com

I saved the best excitement for last. My youngest son and daughter in law are expecting their first child!! Yes I am going to be a Grandma for the first time and I can hardly contain myself. Terra is due December 2nd so we are going to have a wonderful Christmas. You know you will be seeing lots of photos on my blog and facebook when the time comes.

So while I get out and enjoy the end of Summer Days you do the same and enjoy this beautiful season.

*Important; I will be using my new email for the next newsletter so be sure to add it to your addressbook. toni@tonikellystudio.com
My best to you,

For the Birds

I have been busy painting this summer for exhibits and one of them is being held at The Stonewall Gallery at the Campbell Pottery Store which is hosting this exhibit 'For the Birds' to benefit Tamarack Wildlife Rehabilitation Center.

Over 40 artists were invited to participate and I am privileged to be one of them. 'Barn Swallows' is a watercolor on a gallery wrapped canvas. Although my piece sold at the reception you can still view it and the rest of the exhibit till September 10th.

If there is enough interest I will produce giclee prints of the 'Barn Swallows'.

Birch Stand

'Birch Stand' is the latest piece created that got accepted into a jury show. This is a private exhibit here in Erie at Erie Insurance. This company has their own gallery for employees and clients. So check back on my web site for the latest status of this work of art.

A stand of Birch trees always seem so organic and abstract when I see them on Presque Isle. Their white trunks weaving their way up among all the green in Summer or resting against the snow in Winter.

Working from a sketch of a stand of Birch trees in one of my Nature sketchbooks this piece came to life as I followed my intuition and working in the moment for each step of the painting.
