Dear Subscriber
I think our Pennsylvania ground hog had it wrong this year in saying Spring was going to be early. This Winter has been long and hard for a good deal of us so like you I am welcoming Spring. My Crocus are up and blooming and the Daffodils are getting ready to bloom. I made a new sketchbook to record my blooming flowers and the birds, butterflies, and insects that visit my garden this year. You can check it out on my blog here
. The Red-winged Blackbirds are back at my feeders and the Robins have come out of the woods and you see them everywhere now. Soon my favorite Winter bird the Junco will be taking off for Summer grounds in Canada and the Baltimore Oriole will soon be here drinking nectar and feeding on grape jelly. I will be watching my backyard behind my garage for migrating warblers stopping to feed on the Cedar tree. What a joy that was discovering them right in my yard! And that was how Letter's to Chloe began. Right now I have three pieces of art in this series done and plan on creating one more. If I am fortunate to discover more warbles stopping by on their journey I will add to the collection. So take a deep breath because Spring is here even if there are days that are a bit chilly yet. I know I'll be outside enjoying every minute I can. I'm ready to get my hands dirty in the garden cleaning,
raking, and planting.
Enjoy Spring!
